Latest reviews on El Cuchillo's beaches

Famara Beach
8 Kamil Kasper

At the start of the beach, closer to the town, there are fewer rocks, making it my preferred spot for swimming. There were plenty of surfers and the waves were nice, creating a great ocean vibe.

Playa de la Madera

This beach is extremely hazardous due to strong undercurrents that almost caused me to lose my life. It's also impossible to walk on the scorching hot black sand without shoes. Overall, there are much better beaches to visit on Lanzarote.

Playa de las Malvas

This spot is a fantastic place to visit, but beware of the jellyfish! Additionally, the great news is that it has public free entry, making it a great option for a budget-friendly outing.

Playa de San Juan

We visited a beautiful untamed beach that offered breathtaking views of the towering cliff face above Famara. There were a couple of stone circles that provided shelter from the wind, although there was no wind on the day we went.

Playa Mejias

This beach is almost like your own private paradise. It has a beautiful, secluded shoreline, with soft gray pebbles that make for a perfect day of sunbathing and swimming.

Playa Teneza

This stunning part of the island is a sight to behold. The wild and untamed landscapes are juxtaposed by the tumultuous sea, creating a truly awe-inspiring view.
