Brixham - all beaches

The beach was an absolute stunner! The weather was just right for my first visit and I was left awestruck by the sheer beauty of the place. It's a great spot if you're looking for some solitude and want to have your own little slice of paradise. And let's not forget about the photo ops - they were simply amazing! The beach was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Needless to say, I'll definitely be returning to this little slice of heaven.

Despite the unconventional terrain, the beach is absolutely stunning and we had the best day ever with the kids! The water is crystal-clear and inviting, and the presence of lifeguards ensures a safe and worry-free visit. This is truly a place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings.

We were motivated to visit because we have our dog, Harry, and many beaches nowadays prohibit dogs, which I find puzzling. Why not just separate them? There is plenty of parking available and easy access, as well as restrooms, a beach café, and a designated naturist area. To be honest, I always prefer soft sand, but this beach has pretty coarse shingle, which is still beautiful. During the last week of August, it felt like there was plenty of space. The sea was, of course, cold but invigorating. However, the rough shingle may not be ideal for young children. Would I go again? Probably not if there is a sandy beach closer, but it was a lovely couple of hours.

It's worth noting that the sign at the top of the beach may indicate that it's closed, but this is only due to a recent landslide and some broken steps. While this may pose a challenge for some visitors, the journey is certainly worth it for the breathtaking views and peaceful serenity that await you at the end.
