Sunset Beach

This beach may not be the most extraordinary one in the vicinity, but it holds its own charm. The journey to reach it is a refreshing change and offers a pleasant experience. Adequate parking space is available, which is always a plus. Additionally, there is a fascinating trail named Sea Trail, located at a separate parking area, which has washrooms nearby.

Del Rey Beach

This stretch of coastline extends for approximately 14.6 miles, which is accessible by vehicle. However, if you plan on driving, it is important to be familiar with driving on sand. Ensure that you deflate your tires and avoid parking in areas where your vehicle may sink. Keep an eye out for any obstacles, people, or animals that may cross your path. The speed limit is 25mph, but it is recommended to go slower to fully appreciate the stunning scenery. During high tide, parts of the beach may become impassable by car, so it is advisable to use a 4x4 vehicle equipped with recovery straps and shovels. If you do find yourself stuck, don't worry, as there are many kind-hearted people willing to lend a helping hand. The Sons of Beaches are also known to roam the area and offer assistance to those in need. The beach is a perfect spot to relax, enjoy the ocean view, and have a cozy fire. However, be cautious when swimming in the water and know your limits. Don't forget to check out the shipwreck near Fort Stevens. Have a great time!

DeLaura Beach

The beach is absolutely stunning and offers plenty of parking for visitors. The shipwreck adds an extra level of excitement to the experience, as you can even step inside it during low tide (just be sure not to climb on it!). We visited on a lovely day with temperatures hovering around 70 degrees. The sand is partially black and can get a bit hot, but this only enhances the pleasure of walking through the waves.
