Latest reviews on Saluda's beaches

Folly beach
10 Eliza Kibson

The shoreline is pristine and immaculate, offering a picturesque view of the vast ocean. If you're in the mood for a caffeine fix, a Starbucks is conveniently located near the pier. The beach provides a plethora of showers for visitors to rinse off the sand and saltwater. Unfortunately, the pier was undergoing construction during my visit. It's advisable to bring cash for parking, which can range from $5 to $10. Be mindful of hiding your food, as the local birds have a tendency to snatch up chips, fries, and sandwiches from unsuspecting guests.

Hunting Island beach
10 Kavisha Fernando

When my family visited the beach on a Wednesday morning, we only encountered two other families. This beach is a must-visit if you're seeking a natural setting with breathtaking scenery. To get there, we parked at the nature center and walked approximately 0.75 miles to reach the beach.

Isle of Palms beach
10 Dori Lunn

What an exquisite beach! Even after the wrath of Hurricane Nicole, the shore remained pristine and spotless. The beach boasts ample parking spaces and a plethora of restaurants and shops to explore before or after your beach excursion. During the winter months, dogs are allowed to roam free without a leash until 10am, and our furry friend had an absolute blast frolicking in the sand and discovering the vast waters.

Isle of Palms beach II

The pool is excellent, but it would be nice to have umbrellas for the tables.

Burley L. Lyons beach
10 Mark Teller.

This serene and tranquil beach offers a soothing and peaceful atmosphere. However, it's important to note that there are no accessible public restrooms or changing facilities in close proximity, so it's advisable to make alternative arrangements beforehand.

Islanders beach
10 Sailors' Delight

This beach is a true treasure, perfect for those who visit annually, quarterly, monthly, or call it home. While parking is metered and limited, if you have a local pass or are staying at a resort, you'll have no trouble finding a spot. We often visit in the morning and have always found ample parking. The mix of locals and tourists, along with the community of dog walkers, makes for a lively atmosphere. The breathtaking views and easily accessible paths, with a hard surface covering the sand, make it ideal for kids, the elderly, and those with wheelchairs. The facilities are top-notch, and the bathrooms and showers are kept immaculately clean.
