The beach offers of picturesque views and is well-maintained, making it a pleasant spot to visit. However, the tides can be quite strong, so it's not advisable to take a dip. Instead, you can savor some delectable bites while relishing the rhythm of the waves.

Kallady beach, situated along the east coast, is a highly sought-after destination for its tranquil atmosphere. To access this slice of paradise, take a left turn onto the second road towards Akkaraipaththu end after crossing the Kallady bridge and travel for approximately one kilometer. The beach offers ample parking space and a variety of benches where you can sit and marvel at the stunning view. However, it is important to note that swimming is not recommended due to the steep slope that leads to the sea. Instead, start your day with a peaceful stroll or jog along the beach and let the breathtaking sunrise rejuvenate your spirit.

It's truly disheartening to witness the state of this beach. The sheer amount of litter strewn about is appalling. Plastic bags, bottles, and even shattered glass bottles are scattered everywhere you look. I must say, it's one of the most unsanitary beaches I've come across in Sri Lanka. Even the small areas enclosed by palm trees are not spared from the garbage. It's a real shame how people have managed to ruin this once beautiful spot.
