A great spot to enjoy with family and friends. The black sand, resembling Til (ಎಳ್ಳು), covers a small 30-foot area that is secluded from traffic and crowds.

The view from the cliffs adjacent to the beach is breathtaking. Here, you can see both the seashell-strewn shore and the black sand beach in one spot. The ideal time to visit is undoubtedly at sunset. Plus, the water is quite clean, so don't forget to bring your swimsuits 😁.

This is the best beach place ever. It is one of the rarest black sand beaches. The beach is clean and peaceful. However, there are no signs directing you to the beach entrance, so it's best to seek local advice and proceed safely. The view from the hill is amazing.

This beach is definitely among the top 10 in India. It features a unique type of black sand. The hike to reach it takes around 20 minutes. When I visited in 2015, it was less crowded, but by 2023, it has become more touristy and you will encounter a lot of people.

While zooming out on Google Earth during my journey from Goa to Kundapur, I stumbled upon this place and decided to visit. I'm so glad we did! This beautiful black sand beach has sand that looks just like sesame seeds, which is how it got its name in Hindi. The trek from the base to the beach is about 800 meters through rocky terrain, so I highly recommend wearing good shoes, which we unfortunately forgot. The beach itself is quite deep, so it's best to avoid venturing into the deeper waters. For those unfamiliar with the area, I suggest visiting in the morning or in groups, as the place is somewhat isolated and help may not be readily available in case of an emergency. Avoid following Google Maps routes that lead to a location marked as parking, as the roads are narrow and parking is limited to just two cars. Instead, take some time to find a suitable parking spot and avoid driving too close to the beach. This well-preserved beach deserves to be kept clean, so please refrain from littering and cherish the natural beauty.
