This stunning beach boasts an abundance of Hawaiian turtles, making it the perfect spot for snorkeling and observing these magnificent creatures. Alternatively, you can simply sit back and enjoy the spectacle of these graceful animals basking on the shore.

The beach offers of breathtaking vistas of the vast ocean, ample shade to relax under, and an opportunity to witness the magnificent turtles in their natural habitat. However, it may not be the ideal spot for swimming. It is imperative to show reverence towards the fish pond walls and the turtles by refraining from climbing the walls and maintaining a safe distance of 50ft from the turtles.

Ah, another picturesque beach with a dash of wildlife. Behold the turtles and other ocean creatures in their natural habitat. But let's not get too excited about taking a dip in these waters. The swimming conditions are less than desirable.

The beach is a treacherous little trek situated near the marina. The sand is coarse and gritty, with a peppery texture that is sure to irritate the skin. While there is a small cove area that may be suitable for young children, the overall aesthetic of the beach is far from picturesque. The only redeeming quality is the abundance of sea turtles in the water. Despite its lack of beauty, it is relatively accessible and does offer parking.

One of my go-to spots for spending quality time with marine life in Kona is Hapuna, located within the Mauna Kea Resort. This beach gem boasts free entry and a conveniently short stroll to the shore. The highlight of Hapuna is undoubtedly the abundance of green turtles that gracefully glide through the waters, unbothered by the presence of humans. Witnessing a school of flying fish display a mesmerizing aerial dance was a breathtaking sight to behold, among other wonders. As the sun sets, the sky transforms into a stunning array of colors, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for unwinding and enjoying the rhythmic sound of the waves. If you're ever on the Big Island, make sure to add Hapuna to your list of must-visit places!
