Latest reviews on Erie lake's beaches

Black Willow Beach
8 IANO

One of the best beaches to visit. We went on a weekday, and it was incredibly peaceful with hardly anyone around. It was an amazing experience. There were also fewer mosquitoes at this beach, and you can take a dip in the water.

Lakeside Beach

The beach was once undeniably beautiful. However, in recent years, cooler weather and an increase in algae have posed challenges. Consequently, a pool and wellness center was constructed to meet the needs of the Lakeside community.

Sawmill Creek Beach Entrance
6 Ushi

Tucked away from the usual spots. There's no parking close to the beach, and we visited at night, so there were lots of bugs. Nonetheless, it's very beautiful.

Conneaut Township Beach

I prefer this beach over Presque Isle. There are no lifeguards constantly blowing their whistles at you. The kids can play with any toys and inflatables they like. Plus, there are brand new facilities, including restrooms.

Perkins Beach

This place is much nicer, especially during the summer when there are a lot of people and music everywhere. However, right now it's even better to relax at a real lake beach. I am Puerto Rican and my wife is from the Philippines, and we both love the ocean. We live in central Ohio where all we have are boring damns lakes and nothing else. Coming up here to one of the greatest lakes in North America and the whole world is amazing. What can you do here? - Enjoy the sun. - Relax on the beach, which has sand mixed with corals so you can call it a beach. - Have a picnic (Remember to pick up your trash and take it away. Help us preserve the environment and Mother Nature). - You can swim in the designated swimming area. If you're not a strong swimmer, remember not to go too far. It's a lake, not an ocean (oceans have salt, which helps you float). If you're not a strong swimmer, just stay at the shore and enjoy. - You can even surf here, although the waves are not as big as in the ocean. It's still fun. - You can also come here to simply sit and relax.

Point Gratiot Beach

We absolutely adore this beach. It features a blend of sand and stones, with occasional pieces of beach glass, and the sunsets are truly breathtaking. Sadly, a considerable amount of plastic waste tends to wash ashore, though this isn't the beach's fault. We usually bring a bag along to collect any litter we come across.
