Turkey point is a hidden gem, not as popular as other destinations but it’s a great spot! Beach is sand and you can walk out very far and it’s still shallow. The area is sheltered by Long Point so it’s much calmer than other parts of Lake Erie. They charge for parking but there is parking very close to the beach. There are lots of restaurants to choose from for takeout or dine in. Plus ice cream at all of them! They have public toilets as well. This town is small with no major chains of any kind or fancy hotels, not even a gas station, but all are close by in Simcoe or Port Dover.

I was here again in July 2024. Parking is a bit costly at $18 flat rate. Otherwise, I love the beach! It's clean and welcoming. Fast food vendors are available right across the street and at reasonable prices. There are very few shaded areas, but there is plenty of room to set up your tent.

Great beach, nice soft sand. Bathrooms were very disgusting. Water was not bad you can at least see to the bottom for a bit

Like most reviewers here we found the beach to be quite clean, water warm, refreshing and clear, with spots available under large trees. This is a shallow beach of brown semi-soft hard packed sand. There are beach food establishments across the road and vault washrooms in the parking lot. What would make this beach and most beaches better is a foot washing station.
