I really enjoy this beach! It's clean and there are convenient dining options nearby. The locals are friendly and welcoming, often greeting me and engaging in conversation. Families tend to stay towards the east end, allowing for more freedom to enjoy the west side. The people are open-minded and allow me to wear the clothing I prefer, such as tight nylon shorts that provide coverage while showing some shape and allowing for a good tan. I prefer not to wear baggy, wrinkled shorts. I have a picture, but I'll keep it to myself.

The beach is beautiful and clean, with no unpleasant odors. It has a full basketball court, a kids play structure, bathrooms, and showers (although more stalls could have been open during the summer season). The beach is located in a charming little town with shops and restaurants.

The beach is well-maintained by the city, ensuring that everyone can have a great day. The water is quite chilly, so don't forget your wetsuit! There is a spacious sandy area for setting up your belongings, but remember that larger structures like gazebos should be placed at or behind the lifeguard stands. Overall, it's a very pleasant beach to visit.

Make sure to check the daily water quality updates before visiting any beach on Lake Erie. Algae blooms caused by storm sewer and fertilizer runoff can create toxic water conditions. Although the beaches can be beautiful, some days they may be covered in sludge and have a foul odor. Living along the lake, I have seen these conditions change drastically overnight.

It's a great spot to visit. The beach has definitely improved in terms of cleanliness and appeal since my last visit. There are plenty of seating options and the beach is well-maintained. There are a few food choices available, although there are fewer options due to the pandemic.
