Latest reviews on Bogangar's beaches

Cabarita Beach
10 NitaBee

July is an excellent time to visit. The weather was fantastic, with perfect clear sunny days. Be sure to wake up at 6am and hike up to the headland; there are many whales that are easily visible from the lookout.

Kingscliff Beach
10 Jamie McKay

Vast expanse of oceanfront beach with designated areas for dogs. Continuous stretch of sand extending for miles. Within the Kingscliff vicinity, you can find two distinct camping grounds offering Villas and camping sites. Additionally, there is a fantastic bowling club and a licensed surf club conveniently located by the beach. Numerous excellent surfing spots along with sandbars that offer peaceful areas for paddling and fishing.

South Kingscliff Beach
10 Jules Spark

This beach marks the northern end of Cabarita Beach, which has been recognized as the best overall beach in Australia, considering factors like sand, surf, and swimming. The northern end can occasionally have rough surf, so it's best to stay within the surf life-saving flags. Nevertheless, it is absolutely stunning and perfect for a beach walk. A bush reserve lies between the beach and the houses, giving you a sense of being in a remote area, especially during the off-season. On the west side of the reserve, there is a shared bike and walking path that connects south to Pottsville and north to Tweed Heads, with a few short sections on back roads. At the northernmost end of the beach, there is a designated area where dogs are allowed off-leash, provided they are under control. Council off-leash requirements are clearly posted at several beach access points. The rest of the beach requires dogs to be on a leash, and rangers occasionally patrol the area.

Casuarina Beach

This beach is perfect for a long, peaceful walk. There's ample room even during peak times. If you bring your dog, make sure to keep them on a leash since rangers are known to fine owners who let their pets roam outside the designated off-leash area.
