This was my first time in Cuba, and I absolutely fell in love with this hotel, the people, and everything we experienced here. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. And let me tell you, there is so much food! I don't understand why people say there isn't good food here. They have a wide variety of options including fresh fish, pasta, vegetables, beef, fruits, and more. The fish is especially delicious! During dinner, we were treated to live jazz music, and the entire hotel grounds were beautifully decorated and well-maintained. There was live entertainment and bars as well. We also took advantage of the spa in the hotel, where we enjoyed affordable massages. And let's not forget about the ocean and beach - they were absolutely perfect. I want to thank everyone who made our vacation so wonderful! I highly recommend this place to others. Oh, and don't forget to tip the cleaning lady - our room always had an extra sparkle. And if you ask the gardener, they might even give you fresh coconuts.

6 Pleasant

On the first night, we noticed a large stain on the blanket that was about the size of a head. We requested maid service, but all she did was make the bed in a fancy way without replacing the stained blanket. I had to leave a note asking for a new one. Additionally, we also discovered blood stains on one of the pillows. Throughout our entire 7-day stay, the maid never changed the bed covers and simply folded and put back the dirty towels. The towels were never replaced. There was a lack of soap and shampoo, and the toilet was not cleaned at all during our stay. The bathroom did not have a door and faced the entry door of the room, which was quite inconvenient. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was quite bland, but we were aware that this is typical in Cuba. However, the beach itself was absolutely beautiful and the resort provided a peaceful atmosphere. If you're looking for a relaxing trip without high expectations, this resort might suffice. However, I still would not recommend it. If you're seeking entertainment, there are better options available. Overall, I would rate this resort a 6 out of 10, mainly due to the helpful staff and the stunning beach.

We really enjoy the beach, the staff, and the hotel (as long as you stay in a renovated room). The main reason we keep coming back is because of the stunning beach. This was our third visit and luckily we had hot water this time. If you decide to go, it's best to have low expectations so you won't be let down. We plan on returning, but only if we can find a week for under $900.

4 Frustrating

I wouldn't recommend this resort, and I'm not a picky traveler. I probably won't come back here. The resort is old and in poor condition. The room felt damp and had a musty smell. The blankets were also damp, and the air conditioning couldn't be adjusted. They gave us a second-floor room, which was difficult for my almost 80-year-old mother to manage. The outdoor lighting at night was inadequate, making it very dark. The wifi was only available in the lobby, not at the pool or in the rooms. There wasn't much entertainment or activities to do. The buffet food was pretty much the same for every meal. I highly recommend making reservations at the a la carte restaurants to have a variety of different foods. The worst part of the trip was dealing with bed bugs. I strongly suggest ensuring that the mattress has a mattress protector, or else you'll get bitten all over. My mother had a mattress protector, but I didn't, and I have numerous bites while she hardly has any.

We had an incredible time on our honeymoon! The staff was extremely friendly, and the food and drinks were fantastic. We enjoyed both the pool and the beach, and I highly recommend visiting the Beans Cafe for a refreshing iced coffee or cappuccino. The ladies working there were very kind, and the ice cream was absolutely delicious. The rooms were decent, although there was no hot water, and we naturally missed our own bed. However, the maids always ensured that it was kept clean and tidy.
