The beach in Cuba is incredibly beautiful. The locals are friendly and you can find a wide variety of food and drinks at affordable prices. It's the perfect place to swim and unwind, with the added bonus of not being crowded with tourists. It's definitely a hidden gem and I would give it a perfect score of 100 out of 100.

I visited this beach several years ago, and it was quite a challenge to reach from Havana. However, the effort was definitely worth it, especially with the opportunity to explore amazing cities and beaches along the way. During our visit, a local vendor offered us a deliciously prepared lobster accompanied by fried banana, and we couldn't resist trying some refreshing coconuts as well. The best part was that we practically had the entire beach to ourselves.

The pulpo restaurant is highly recommended due to the amazing staff. However, the left side of the beach is the absolute highlight.

Playa Maguana has a distinct Caribbean charm with its white sandy beach and crystal-clear turquoise water, setting it apart from other beaches in the vicinity. However, it's important to note that it may not be flawless as there might be some litter on the beach and a few persistent vendors. Nevertheless, the drive from Baracoa is definitely worth it, just make sure to drive cautiously and be mindful of the gaps in the bridges.
