As a tourist, I didn't feel safe visiting this place, especially with people constantly bothering you for money and trying to persuade you to dine at their restaurants. My intention was to visit Catalina Island, but even the tour guides gave off an uncomfortable vibe. Moreover, the beach itself hardly qualifies as a proper beach; it's not somewhere I would recommend swimming or bathing.

4 Frustrating

The beach would greatly benefit from improved safety measures. The presence of numerous fish vendors on the beach creates an unsafe environment for tourists, as these vendors often engage in fights, and it's important to note that they carry knives. The frequency of police presence in that area is quite low.

The beach was quite disappointing, as there were too many rocks and nowhere suitable for swimming. However, the locals were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the beach lacked good dining options.

The public beach is extremely small and has a noticeable fishy odor. Additionally, there are numerous rocks scattered around. In terms of free attractions in La Romana, this beach is pretty much the only option. There is genuinely nothing else to do except for staying in Casa de Campo.
