The paved road leading to the beach is a pleasant walk, and you can easily hail a cab to take you to the main entrance. Just make sure to confirm the price before getting in. Keep in mind that there isn't much shade around, but you'll have the opportunity to spot plenty of sea lions and explore a slightly rugged trail that leads to a point off the beach. If you plan on visiting during the summer, it's best to go early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the intense midday sun.

Hop in a taxi for a round trip fee of $10 and enjoy a day at this stunning beach that's teeming with sea lions and marine iguanas. The snorkeling experience is also nothing short of amazing.

Initially, I had intended to steer clear of this beach due to its proximity to town, assuming it would be overcrowded and lacking in wildlife. However, I soon realized that I was in the Galapagos! To my delight, the beach was absolutely amazing, with fantastic snorkeling and a breathtaking hike.

We had an amazing snorkeling adventure! We spotted numerous sea turtles and a variety of vibrant fish. Sea lions were also a common sight. Although we brought our own gear, wetsuits can be rented in town. The water was chilly during our October visit, but our wetsuits kept us cozy. There are limited seating options and no restroom facilities, but the main attraction is definitely the incredible marine life and crystal-clear water.

I rated it 5 stars due to its excellent snorkeling opportunities with sea turtles, sea lions, and various fish species. The sea lions seem to have claimed this area, with the alpha male keeping a watchful eye on things, so be cautious.
