The beach is truly remarkable, with stunning views that took me by surprise. It's a wonderful spot for a leisurely stroll during the off-season, although it tends to get overcrowded during the summer months.

My preferred beach in the Vendée! This morning, the tide was low, revealing numerous rock pools and interesting stone formations to discover. It is an expansive beach, with sand dunes situated behind it, a winding river estuary on one side, and the beginning of a coastal walk to Port Bourgenay on the other side. Veillon plage is ideal throughout the year - invigorating walks during winter and sunbathing in summer! A helpful suggestion: it is advisable to arrive before lunchtime as the parking area tends to fill up rapidly!
