This beach is pretty cool and has a nice beach bar. However, what sets it apart is the fascinating history and geology of the area, which you can explore by hiking. The beach has black sand with pebble and there are also early Christian caves and carvings on the rocks that are worth checking out. It's a shame that these historical features aren't more well-known. If you're in the area or visiting the nearby castle, make sure to stop by and take the hike.

Although I didn't actually step foot on the beach, I can attest that it's a stunning spot to watch the sunset while visiting Rhodes. We did venture down the path from the main road towards the beach, but opted to take in the sunset from halfway down the mountain instead. The journey to the location was filled with breathtaking scenery, including the unique black sand and pebble beach. Don't pass up the opportunity to experience it for yourself.
