Butterfly Beach is located on the Arabian Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 2th place out of 71 beaches in the Goa region 66.6 km away from its center, the city of Mapusa. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Agonda settlement, just 2.8 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

The ferry ride to Butterfly Island was quite memorable. I was thrilled to see the beautiful blue waters in Goa. However, I would caution against swimming due to the heavy currents and potentially dangerous conditions. That being said, it is definitely a perfect spot for taking Instagram-worthy photos.

This beach is stunning, but be prepared to walk or trek for at least 3 kilometers if you arrive by four-wheeler. If you come by bike, it's only a half-kilometer walk. Boating is available to take you to Turtle Rock and Honeymoon Beach. Although the beach is small, it's incredibly picturesque. If you want to avoid the crowds, the best time to go is early in the morning.

This beach in Goa is truly one of the best. If you arrive in the morning, you'll have the place to yourself and can enjoy the pristine surroundings. Unlike other beaches that are often overcrowded, this one is a true gem.

This is a decent spot to check out. The beach itself is quite nice, with clear, bluish-green water. The 2km hike from the parking lot is definitely worth it, but it's best to avoid taking your bikes all the way to the end. Unfortunately, the beauty of the area is diminished by garbage and bottles littering the area.

Although small in size, this beach is absolutely beautiful and boasts crystal clear waters. To reach it, we took a ferry from Palolem which cost around 350 to 400 per person and took about 1.5 hours. The ferry ride itself was breathtaking, with stunning views throughout - we even spotted dolphins and jellyfish in the water. The ferry also passes by another small beach, although it can be submerged during high tide. One highlight was seeing Turtle Point, a large rock that resembles a turtle. The ferry also stops at Butterfly Beach for around 30 to 40 minutes, which is a photographer's dream. Overall, this is a must-visit spot if you're in South Goa.
