Located approximately 13 kilometers away from Udupi and 45 kilometers from Mangalore, Kapu Beach is a serene destination that takes around 25 minutes to reach from Udupi. You can easily find buses from the service bus stand in Udupi that will take you to Kapu. Once you reach the bus-stop at Kapu, you need to travel a distance of 1.5 kilometers to reach the beach. Auto-rickshaws and cars are readily available near the bus-stop for your convenience. Visitors from Bangalore can take a bus to Mangalore and then another bus from Mangalore to Udupi to reach Kapu Beach. The ideal time to visit Kapu Beach is either during sunrise or sunset as the sun can get quite harsh during the day. However, if you happen to visit during the monsoons, you will be greeted with a refreshing and pleasant atmosphere. Mornings are usually less crowded, making it the perfect time to enjoy the beach in peace.
