This beach is quite decent and not too crowded. If you're looking for more activities, nearby beaches such as Thanirbavi and Malpe are great options. Reaching this beach is a bit challenging, as you have to take a ferry (run by BMS Ferry Service, with a frequency of 5 minutes from 5:30am to 10:30pm) and walk 1.2km. The walkway is quite large, similar to Marina Beach. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance were not great, as there were many thrashes left unminded. You can also reach the beach by vehicle, but it will be a longer journey as you have to take a far away bridge. The ferry service on the Netravati River does not allow you to take photos or videos, which is a bit strange. There is a strong smell of polluted and contaminated water, so I hope it is not drainage water or industrial waste being dumped. There are a few shops and a bakery just after you get off the ferry, so snacks are available. The sunset view was great when I visited on January 2023.

This beach is a great spot for taking pictures and hanging out. You can see sunken ships in the sea, as well as oil companies like Indian Oil and HP. There are delicious food options, with fish dishes being particularly tasty, though they can be a bit pricey. You can also observe the many shipyards, where most ships are built. The roads are good, but there are a lot of speed bumps, so be careful when driving. On weekdays, there is usually not much traffic, but on weekends, you may encounter crowds and congestion.

This beach is exceptionally clean and not crowded. You can get here by ferry and use Google Maps to navigate the area. The waves here are bigger than those at Tannirbhavi and Panambur, due to the sand deviation style. The beach surface is not flat, but slanted every two meters or so, so be careful if you decide to go for a swim. There is no lifeguard or supervision here. In my opinion, the beach has a stunning and tranquil atmosphere, much better than the dirty Tannirbhavi. However, you won't find many tourists or locals here, it will feel like a private beach. I visited on a Sunday. Make sure you stay safe. This beach is less explored, but really beautiful. The waves here are truly remarkable.

4 Frustrating

This beach is quite unclean, so it's not a great choice for first-time visitors.
