A pristine beach. I visited on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to find I had the place to myself. I parked my car at the village shelter home near the school. The villagers were incredibly kind and eager to assist me in finding the way to the beach. A brief hike through a small forest led me to the shore.

You can truly feel the saying, "kabhi kabhi manzil se zyada suffer khubsurat hota h"... But in this case, both the journey and the destination are beautiful. By the way, as mentioned by a guide in the review list, Partha Mukharjee is absolutely right—this beach is not safe for bathing or swimming. However, the road conditions have improved significantly and are now very driveable. You can park your car or bike at the end of the village near the cyclone shelter or school (I can't recall exactly) and then take a short 5-minute walk to reach your destination. The place is peaceful, with zero crowds and no shops. MAKE SURE to return before dark because you'll be passing through a forested area with no streetlights to guide you back to the Balidokan, Konark-Kakatpur road.

A wonderful spot for a picnic, and one of the most stunning sea beaches I've ever seen.

A stunningly beautiful and tranquil beach nestled among sand dunes and forest. The beach is not suitable for bathing or swimming due to steep slopes, but it is perfect for fishing and a birdwatcher's paradise. The final stretch of about 2 km on an unpaved road is not drivable because of large and deep potholes. You can safely park your car in the last village and take a 5-minute walk through a pine forest to reach the top of the sand dunes, where the vast sea awaits below. The villagers are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There are no shops.
