Sometimes in life we are not expecting something, yet when it turns out to be something worth cherishing, we are positively impacted. That's exactly what happened here. We took a sudden trip to Kalagachia and we were told there was a delta, worth seeing. Yet the maps weren't really informative, so we decided to ask around and try and reach the delta. Yet by accident we arrived at this beach, which is far more famous for the Dargah. It isn't technically a sea beach as it's between two delta's Yet even the lack of any touristy activity won't disappoint you. It's a rather clean beach, with very few visitors. Trampoline, a few food stalls and a makeshift market will be the height of commercial activity. There are couple of very basic hotels, which could be termed as just beds for resting. The roads will continue to get narrow with every turn, yet it's not hard to drive, even for an amateur like myself. I wouldn't travel from Calcutta to just visit this place, yet if I am near by I would surely want to visit this beach one more time and hopefully get my feet wet.

Newly developing sea beach at Khejuri, Purba Medinipur. I previously visited this place long 15 years back when there was nothing at this place except the beach. In my recent visit, I found at least 15/20 small very basic residential hotels (which are cheap) fit for staying with friends for 1/2 nights. Travelling with family is advised only for couples with experience in staying at similar offbeat places with minimum infrastructure and support systems. A mini market has developed in the beach with a few shops and eateries and tea stalls. The sea beach is lined by Jhau-bon which is a rarity in Digha. There is also a small mangrove near the beach. The beach is not at all fit for taking bath but a stroll in the peaceful and calm beach is a lovely experience in the evening. Nothing much to do here except passing time and enjoying the beach and visiting the famous Masnad-e-ala and Pirbaba Majar just nearby which is a highly religious place irrespective of community. Regarding communication, buses from various places of Kolkata to Boga / Sillaberia are the fastest means of travelling. These buses travel on the Digha route upto Henria and from their turn left towards the sea for another 25/30 Kilometres reaching the terminus Boga / Sillaberia From where local conveyance would help to reach the sea beach / shore. Recommended for visitors with a an urge of exploring new off eat places.

Hijli Sea Beach is a serene and lesser-known spot, perfect for those seeking peace and solitude. There is a religious destination known as Hizli Sharif. The gentle waves and soft sands make it ideal for a quiet walk or a relaxing day by the sea. It’s not crowded, providing a tranquil escape from busy city life. The surrounding natural beauty and the sound of the waves create a calming atmosphere. A great place to unwind and enjoy nature's beauty, Hijli Sea Beach is a hidden treasure worth visiting.
