PARKING: The fee is supposedly 20k, but no one asked me for it. You might get lucky too. Either way, it's worth it. SNORKELING GUIDE: You will be approached by people offering to be your guide. Just say "no." If they persist, tell them you already have a diving course. DIVING GUIDE: There's no need to pre-book as there are plenty available here. But since you're reading this, you probably like to be prepared. It's best to find a reputable instructor on Google Maps. ENTERING THE WATER ON YOUR OWN: You don't need a guide. Guides may tell you that you can't snorkel alone, but you absolutely can. If you're a decent swimmer, nothing is stopping you. LOCATION OF THE SHIP: The ship is 120 meters long and 25-50 meters from the shoreline, aligned with it. You can't miss it. The pin on Google Maps is accurate. Just explore and have fun. TIDE: It's easier to enter the water at high tide due to the rocks, but any tide should be fine. I was there at high tide, which was good. Download the free app Nautide for the information you need. TIME OF THE DAY: If you want the ship to yourself, go before 9 AM. Otherwise, any time is fine. I enjoyed the presence of other divers and snorkelers for orientation. FINS: Yes, fins are highly recommended. The current can be strong, and the rocks can be annoying, though not sharp. You should be able to rent fins there. SHOPS: The warung there has higher prices. A Coke is 20k. Still affordable, but more expensive than other warungs.

I had my first diving experience here, and it was incredible. I got to see a shipwreck, garden eels, a variety of colorful fish, and even a blue-spotted ribbontail stingray.

This beach is excellent for snorkeling and diving. 🤿 You can discover a wide range of underwater treasures, including various corals and fish. The shore diving experience is unique and unlike anything I've tried before.

Bali boasts several diving spots that attract both amateurs and professionals alike. Among these, Menjangan Island on the island's west side and Tulamben on the east are the most popular and renowned. Fortunately, both of these diving spots are far from industrialized areas and motorized fishing activities, ensuring that the seawater remains clean and clear. This pristine environment allows marine life and corals to thrive naturally without any disturbances, dirt, or pollution. Tulamben, located in East Bali, offers a unique diving experience. Just 25 meters from the beach, you can dive to see the US Liberty shipwreck, which lies 7 meters deep. This site provides an opportunity to witness the stunning marine life and corals in their natural habitat. In addition to catering to tourists, several diving schools are spread across the island, offering quick courses for enthusiasts eager to learn diving. These schools help produce newly certified divers ready to explore the underwater world. So, the next time you visit Bali, don't hesitate to join a quick course and become a newly licensed diver.

The beach is rocky, so be sure to wear snorkeling shoes before starting your water activities. The underwater scenery is decent, though the coral garden doesn't have much coral. The shipwreck is the most popular spot for divers. Overall, it's a good place to obtain or upgrade your diving license, as they offer affordable options.
