Worth the hike. It will take you 30-45mn to reach the beach but the view and beach is definitely worth it.

A nice surf beach accessed by a rough 4WD track (4.6km return), with a steep path down to the beach for the last few hundred metres. May have big waves and be unsuitable for swimming if there's a big swell. Track notes: hikingtheworld.blog/2018/01/18/steamers-beach-jervis-bay/

A nice 2.3km walk through the forest from the car park and a steep section of stairs to get down to the beach, wouldn’t recommend walking it in flip flops. Well worth the effort, we were fortunate enough to see dolphins and seals here when watching from atop the rocks on the beach. Wouldn’t recommend this beach for swimming though, quite rough and goes very deep very quick, we had also heard warnings from others that sharks frequent this beach.

Just about the best beach you’ll ever find. Solitude and raw beauty of nature at its best. The beach here collects a lot of marine debris so pretty please bring a rubbish bag with you and take a load out with your if you’re able. Enjoy and take care of this beauty. Oh and swimming isn’t really recommended!

Beautiful spot! Really clean beach (except for the trash pile off to the side... Please do everyone and the sealife a favor and pack out all your own trash.) Feels very secluded since we had the beach to ourselves when we were on it, but it looks like it can get be quite popular since we passed several other groups heading down to the beach as we hiked back up. It is definitely very steep down to the beach (and therefore also steep back up) but it's absolutely with it. Wouldn't go in the water though... it looks like there are rip tides and the beach is not guarded. Note: we actually did the entire "circuit hike" after visiting Steamers and didn't think the rest of the hike was worth the effort. Do yourself a favor and reserve your effort for the climb back up from the beach and skip the rest of the circuit. Also note, there's an $11 park entry fee that's good for 48 hours, so you can also go visit Murray Beach and other areas of the park.
