My friends and I followed the route on Google Maps to get to this beach by car. We arrived at the carpark in Royal National Park, where Maps ended. From there, I was able to gather more information about the track details to Burning Palms Beach and Figure 8 pool, including the current tide level and risk assessments. I have also included some photos to assist visitors who are planning to hike there. The walks are categorized into different grades, and there is a section that explains the grading system. This particular walk is classified as Grade 4, with Grade 5 being the highest. It is definitely not an easy stroll, as it involves a challenging and steep descent and climb. The total distance is 4 kilometers, and it takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours to complete the round trip to Burning Palms Beach. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the beach because we were not prepared for the level of effort and time required to fully enjoy it. Next time, I will make sure to plan accordingly. Oh, and don't forget to purchase a park pass, otherwise the park ranger is quite efficient in issuing car infringements.
