Absolutely stunning. The white sand and calm waters are perfect. The crystal-clear water is exactly to my liking! During one visit, a police boat came by and instructed everyone to leave the water due to a large shark being spotted near the shore. Well, it is their home after all!

Ideal beach for children with its clear, calm waters. Not too crowded.

Beautiful beach with pristine white sand 🏖️. It's less crowded, but the view includes port containers, which is a bit amusing.

A nice, long bay with calm waters, making it ideal for less confident swimmers and those looking to swim laps without much difficulty. There are plenty of small fish around the rocks, easily visible with a snorkel from the surface. While it may not be the most picturesque spot, it is quite relaxing. However, there is no shelter from the sun.

Yarra Bay Beach features a backdrop that could easily inspire a Jeffrey Smart painting. Once you move past the notion that beach beauty is solely tied to untouched nature, you'll find it to be a truly spectacular spot for a swim. On one side, you have green-tinged calm waters gently lapping against golden sand, while on the other, you see planes, cranes, and container ships. This beach is inclusive, welcoming everyone from pouty Kardashian-inspired babes flaunting their curves in tiny bikinis to families, couples, and individuals of all ages and body types. Dogs appear to be welcome, and the atmosphere is friendly, even including the occasional boater with an imported American vessel who grumbles about government interference and wishes you luck "washing the radiation off." Parking is convenient, with a series of free four-hour car parks in the Yarra Bay Bicentennial Park, connected by several pathways leading down to the beach.
