Very poor
It used to be the top spot for 4wd enthusiasts and fishing enthusiasts. However, Ballina Shire has now closed it off due to safety concerns, which is quite frustrating. Even walking on the south break wall is no longer allowed.

Exceptional
The beach is fantastic, especially in June when it's not crowded. The foreshore is incredibly beautiful, and during winter, you can walk for miles without encountering anyone. Additionally, the nature reserve behind the beach offers excellent opportunities for birdwatching. The sunset over the Richmond River is also a sight to behold.

I accessed the beach through the 4wd area and headed towards the left, while vehicles were directed towards the right.

Very good
It had the same magical playground vibe as Fraser Island or Rainbow Beach up north.
