This beach is hands down one of my favorite spots to be. Some weeks I come here every day, sometimes even twice a day in the morning and afternoon. I especially love it during high tide when the water is clean, clear, and cool on a warm day.
Parking can get really busy on weekends and during the holiday season, as it is shared with the boat shed, swimming pool, and caravan park in the same block. There is an amenities block at the front of the road entrance.
People often fish off the rock wall here, making it a great day out for families. At certain times of the day, you may experience a current coming through. You can also see stand up paddle boats, kite surfers, jet skis, dinghies, and small boats in the area.
There are some great local food spots nearby, including restaurants, a chemist, convenience store, bakery, butchers, fashion retailers, Australia post, three fish and chip shops - Suncoast Seafoods opposite Raw Energy, which is my favorite, and cafes. There is also a lawn bowls club and a library in the area.
Overall, this beach is definitely one of my happy places.
