This beach is a great spot for fishing and walking or running with your dog. Just be cautious of crocodiles in the area. There's also a lady selling fresh, high-quality fruit nearby at a reasonable price. I highly recommend trying the fruit.

Get ready for a unique culinary experience as we head to Cooya Beach in sunny Queensland, Australia. This coastal paradise offers a blend of land, sea, and culture that promises to delight your senses and leave you wanting more. The powdery sands and salty breeze of Cooya Beach create a stunning backdrop for our adventure. The locals, the Kuku Yalanji people, share their ancient traditions and connection to the land and sea as we explore the mangroves and learn about their hunting and gathering practices. Our guide demonstrates the art of stalking mud crabs, leading us to a feast of freshly caught seafood cooked over an open fire. The flavors are exquisite, but it's the cultural significance of the meal that truly resonates, reminding us of the importance of food in storytelling and preserving heritage. As we say goodbye to Cooya Beach, we leave with a newfound appreciation for the intersection of food, culture, and nature. The memories of this culinary journey will stay with us, inspiring us to seek out new experiences and celebrate the diverse flavors and cultures that make our world unique.

It was a pleasant spot. I was taken aback to find a dog beach where dogs can roam freely next to a sign cautioning about crocodiles...

Unfortunately, there is some litter left behind which is a shame for such a beautiful spot. There are public toilets and a boat ramp available. The beach is quite secluded. I thought I saw a cloud that looked like a crocodile, but thankfully it wasn't the real thing. It would be perfect for a refreshing swim in the sea. šŸ˜œ
