Visiting Waitpinga Conservation Park and Beach was a fantastic experience. We are fortunate to have such pristine places that remain undeveloped. I hope it stays this way forever. It's crucial to respect these areas. For instance, due to the presence of hooded plovers on the beach, it's important that dogs are not allowed there. However, I don't see why dogs can't stay in your car or in the car park. In my opinion, this wouldn't cause any issues, and it would allow me to bring my dog along, sit in the car park, read a paper, and have a coffee together. It would be helpful if someone could explain why it's not appropriate to bring a dog. Also, be cautious of the rips; as a former surf life-saving volunteer, I can confirm that the rips here are very dangerous, just as the signs indicate. Unfortunately, there has been one reported death. May they rest in peace, and may their family find healing.

5 stars for the beach. The view is absolutely stunning. However, the toilet gets 0 stars. I have no idea how a waterless toilet is supposed to function, but the smell is unbearable. I wouldn't even think about lifting the toilet seat—who knows what might be inside. There's no bin, no water, and no wash basin.

The drive to the large carpark is straightforward. You can access the beach either by crossing a bridge or taking a long walk along a sandy path. During our visit, the entire week was wet and windy. The beach was deserted except for a solitary fisherman. Waitpinga Creek had carved a new route, flowing along the beach halfway to the carpark. As we walked along the shore, we discovered a lagoon.

Expansive, stunningly clean beach. I used to go surf fishing here at sunset and often caught double headers of Australian salmon. It's a bit rough for swimming, with warnings about potentially dangerous rips, but a few surfers still venture out to test their skills.
