Crescent bay beach is a reachable by a 2-4 hour round trip hike starting from the parking area at Marion Bay. This does mean it is in Taman National park, and having a national park pass in your windshield while parking is recommended. The walking path is very nice, well kept, and not very difficult as far as hiking goes. The views on the way there are beautiful, but Crescent Bay Beach is a whole other level. Normally vacant, or very few people there at most, it’s a sight to behold. Golden sands, massive dunes, and beautiful waters. It’s amazing to be able to walk around an area like this, and really feels like Tassi at its best.

Endless miles of golden fine sandy beaches, and so close to Port Arthur.

Amazing beach. One of the most beautiful I've been to. Bring your boogie board as sliding down the dunes was heaps of fun.

Google maps does not send you to the correct location (which appears to be the reason for some of the 1* reviews). This beach is accessed by a 4 hour return walk from the remarkable caves car park. It is one of my favourite day walks in Tasmania.
