I had an incredible snorkeling experience at 'Sewer Beach,' the protected area just past the car park. There were numerous types of fish, and a huge dusky morwong even came right up to my face to say hello. The water was cold but refreshing. We also saw some hikers embarking on an overnight hike on the trail above us. Definitely worth a visit—it's a highlight of KI when the weather is right.
