The beach offers unrestricted entry to the sea with a stretch of soft sand. Although there is a lack of shaded areas, the beach is pristine and ideal for dogs to frolic around. 😍

This petite shoreline appears to be plagued with murky water, likely contaminated by sewage. It seems that only the four-legged friends dare to take a dip here. Nonetheless, our furry companion Arthur (beaglearthur.de) managed to enjoy some pleasant encounters with fellow canines. For a more hygienic and superior dog-friendly experience, the complimentary beach near Pisa is the better choice. It's worth noting that parking in the area is at your own risk, as it's designated for residents.

4 Frustrating

We departed early as we were not impressed with the dog-friendly beach. Our visit took place in the middle of June, and we were unable to find any vendors selling umbrellas or loungers, leaving our canine companion without any shade in the scorching 30-degree weather. The atmosphere was quite tense due to the presence of aggressive and uncontrolled dogs, whose owners showed little concern. Overall, the experience was unpleasant and anxiety-inducing. Furthermore, the beach area itself was not particularly appealing.

This beach is renowned for being the sole free dog-friendly beach in the area. If you're seeking a more secluded experience and don't fancy sharing sun loungers with strangers, this is the ideal destination. While there are a couple of rocks in the water, it's a haven for snorkelers and offers a glimpse of a variety of fish. Additionally, the beachgoers are incredibly friendly, and their furry friends are just as delightful.

Italy, I am disappointed in the condition of the beach where dogs are permitted. It is disheartening to see the amount of litter and unclean water present. Our furry companions deserve better treatment. Just because some may not view pets as family members does not mean we should neglect their needs. This experience has left me feeling disenchanted and hesitant to return to Italy for future vacations. It is a shame to see the lack of pet-friendliness from some individuals in this country.
