Metaponto Lido beach

The portions of fried calamari and calamari (two) were rather meager in comparison to their price. Upon attempting to bring my assistance dog, I was instructed to distance myself from other beachgoers. While the staff didn't treat me poorly, they also didn't address me directly, as if I were invisible.

Beach with yellow sand and shallow waters that make it an ideal spot for families with children. By sheer luck, we stumbled upon this hidden gem and were pleasantly surprised. We parked our car on the street and made our way on foot to the beach, which is not very expansive. Upon arrival, we crossed the restaurant area, which had an adjoining bar, and found ourselves immediately under the shade of an umbrella. The beach offers convenient showers and bathrooms, and the prices are very affordable. In June, an umbrella and two sunbeds cost just 12 euros. Even the restaurant and bar, which overlook the sea, have reasonable prices.

The ocean and shoreline are both impeccably pristine, leaving nothing to be desired. However, the service leaves something to be desired, as the prices are quite steep in comparison to other places I have visited. Additionally, the staff could use some improvement in their professionalism and demeanor, as they often respond to requests in a less-than-friendly manner. The bathrooms are also a bit of a letdown, as they seem to scare even the coronavirus away. Despite these shortcomings, the beach itself is a decent location and has potential for improvement in the areas I mentioned. I still recommend this spot, as it offers more amenities than other nearby beaches and the water is stunningly clear. While it is regrettable to have to provide negative feedback, it is important to remain objective.

The staff at this beach is amazing, always friendly and welcoming. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. I make it a point to visit this beach frequently. Additionally, it's worth noting that the sand is a unique brown color.
