Metaponto Lido beach II

The service is good. If you are an Italian and planning to visit a camping village with your kids, and you want them to have entertainment until late at night, then this place is perfect. However, if you are a tourist seeking a peaceful camping spot, it would be better to look elsewhere.

The staff at the beach were extremely unhelpful and dismissive. There was loud music playing from 10 am to 3 pm, and then again from 6 pm throughout the night, despite being told it would stop at 11.30. I even sent an email at 12:45 am asking them to turn it off, but received no response. It seemed like their main focus was purely on making a profit, with little regard for the satisfaction of their customers. We decided to leave as soon as we could. Any positive reviews you come across about this place are most likely made up. The only positive aspects were the friendly people working at the shop and the kind waiter at the pizzeria. There was also one lovely young woman working in the office. However, the manageress was rude and the rest of the staff seemed uninterested in assisting us. We needed a document printed, but they made little effort to help us or even suggest where we could get it done. Unlike other campsites, they did not provide essential amenities such as refrigeration. Overall, it was an awful place.

This has been our best camping experience thus far. The beach is conveniently nearby, and there is minimal noise during the month of June. The campground offers ample space, and surprisingly, a reliable wifi connection (until 9:26 PM!). Additionally, the price was the lowest we have encountered in the southern region, at just 21 EUR, compared to the average of 30 EUR.

We had a fantastic camping experience at this beach in the summer of 2020. The service and support from everyone were excellent, and the people were friendly. The location was perfect, and we had a wonderful stay with our family. We definitely plan on returning and highly recommend visiting the beautiful surroundings of Metaponto. The owners were incredibly helpful.

This campground is the perfect choice for beach lovers and has a very friendly staff. However, the sanitary facilities are extremely disappointing. The bathrooms lack toilet seats and toilet paper, and they were only cleaned once during our ten-day stay. I had to bring my own wipes to clean before using the facilities. If you value clean bathrooms, I would recommend avoiding this campground. Apart from that, our experience was satisfactory. Additionally, it's important to note that the beach chairs are not complimentary. Upon check-out, they inquire about your usage and charge accordingly.
