Pantai Mek Mas, Sand dunes in our very own Kelantan are simply amazing. I had no idea that the beaches in Kelantan could be this beautiful. When we arrived in Kota Bharu for the first time, I knew we would find plenty of lovely beaches and delicious food. Pantai Mek Mas is just an hour's drive from Kota Bharu. Follow Waze, drive through some off-roads, and you'll magically arrive at this lagoon with what looks like sand dunes. Have fun, take stunning photos, and enjoy the constant breeze! I'll be sharing our travel experiences in Kota Bharu, our itinerary, and everything we did in this enchanting place. We've grown to love exploring unconventional travel destinations, and our time in Kota Bharu was no exception. We took the road less traveled. If you visit during the monsoon season, be sure to check the weather forecast. Sunny days are rare, so seize the opportunity while you can! Come in the morning! We had the entire dune to ourselves! In the evening, this beautiful spot is likely to be crowded with locals.

The beach offers a fantastic view and the sandy shore is quite impressive. The rusty ship is a true landmark of the area. However, it is disheartening to see the beach littered with plastic trash. It pains me to witness this, especially as someone who is not from Kelantan. I genuinely hope that the local community takes better care of this beautiful beach. Let's work together to preserve Mother Nature instead of causing harm to it.

When visiting a beach in Kelantan, you can anticipate a variety of things, except for cleanliness. The beach is unclean and visually unappealing, with plastic cups scattered everywhere. Nearby vendors discard coconut husks without proper disposal methods. There are no amenities available whatsoever, not even a garbage bin or dumpster. If you plan to visit Pantai Mek Mas, please bring your own garbage and dispose of it properly elsewhere. It is truly disheartening to see such a beautiful beach being exploited by outsiders.
