The beach is a lovely spot to witness the breathtaking sunset. The stretch of sand towards the end of the beach is frequented by many visitors as it is conveniently located close to a small market. Although there is some litter scattered around, it is not excessive and does not detract from the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The public beach in Kota Kinabalu is a delightful stretch of sand that we had the pleasure of visiting on a quiet weekday. Our eyes were immediately drawn to a stunning sand sculpture that we stumbled upon, and we were fortunate enough to meet the talented artist responsible for its creation. It was a wonderful spot to bask in the warmth of the sun, take in the breathtaking views of the sea, and watch the surf roll in.

Arrived at this beach on a weekend afternoon to witness the sunset with my pals. However, the island and the clouds had other plans and obstructed the final moments of the sunset. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was delightful, with a massive crowd of people present. Kids were having a blast playing with bubbles and sand, while the adults were busy gorging on the food sold at the beach. Don't forget to try the coconut water; it's a mandatory experience!
