Turtle Bay Beach, located at the Westin Mauritius, is a beautiful coastal retreat that offers breathtaking views. However, there are certain aspects of the beach that can be challenging and pose safety concerns for visitors. One issue that stands out is the absence of a pontoon to reach the coral reef. Without a designated pathway, it can be difficult for visitors to access the reef and appreciate the underwater beauty. The lack of a pontoon restricts the ability to comfortably explore and admire the marine ecosystem without having to navigate the rocky terrain. Furthermore, the beach is scattered with large stones, which can hinder the swimming experience and present potential safety risks. These stones make it challenging to find a safe spot to swim, especially for those who prefer calm and shallow waters. It would greatly enhance the visitor experience if there were designated swimming areas that are free from obstacles. Additionally, the shallow depth of the beginning of the reef requires visitors to walk quite far out, often requiring special shoes for protection. This can be inconvenient and may discourage some guests from fully enjoying the swimming and snorkeling opportunities the beach has to offer. To address these concerns, it would be beneficial to introduce a pontoon. A well-placed pontoon would provide a safe and convenient access point to the coral reef, allowing visitors to explore the underwater world more easily and without any obstacles.
