Ah, the beach. A long stretch of sand, perfect for parking your car and grabbing some takeout. It's a real hootenanny of a place. And let's not forget the sunsets, oh the sunsets! If you're into that sort of thing, you absolutely must check it out. Overall, it's just a swell spot for a good time.

If you enjoy noisy, crowded beaches with sand and picnics but little opportunity for swimming, this is the place for you. The lagoon is very shallow, often only 20-30 cm deep, until the reef depression. If you want to snorkel and see coral and fish, your best bet is to start at the northernmost point of the beach, where many boats are docked. Swim between the boats towards the rocks and you'll discover some lovely coral forests.

This Mauritius beach is amazing, especially during sunset. It offers a wide range of services and has a cheerful and laid-back vibe. Although it can get quite touristy, it's still very comfortable. Just remember to wear shoes while swimming as the sand is filled with corals.

The Flic en Flac beach boasts crystal clear waters, which are a stark contrast to the murkier waters near the river mouth further south. The sunsets here are simply breathtaking. To ensure the safety of swimmers, the beach is partitioned and regularly patrolled by vigilant lifeguards. The marine life here is abundant, with plenty of fish to observe. As an avid angler, I have had great success fishing for emperor fish and squid from the coast. The beach is also adorned with soft, white sand, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. For those looking to indulge in local cuisine, there are plenty of food stands nearby serving up delicious fare.
