The beach isn't too far away, although the road may be closed. However, when it's dry, it's incredibly peaceful. The location is stunning, but unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing there. The lighthouse was closed, and there wasn't a single person around. Despite that, the scenery was so breathtaking that it made the entire trip worthwhile.

Although it is about 30 km away from Celestún, my experience is that you don't necessarily need a 4x4 to reach this beach. I managed to get there without any issues. However, the road is quite narrow and there are branches that may scratch your car, so you can't drive too fast. I wouldn't recommend going if it has rained recently because the wetlands can become flooded and impassable. In fact, we saw a 4x4 vehicle getting stuck on this trip, probably because they took a risky route through a deep puddle. If you do decide to go, you'll end up at the lighthouse, where you'll find a pristine beach and a breathtaking view of both the lighthouse and the Celestún-style beach.

Although the lighthouse was inaccessible, the long 52-minute drive from Celestún (mostly on a narrow dirt road) was absolutely worth it. The photos fail to capture its true beauty. There wasn't a single person in sight for miles, allowing us to freely stroll along what appeared to be an untouched beach stretching for miles. The seashells were truly remarkable and filled us with wonder. Make sure to pack a lunch and a cooler, bring some bug spray, and immerse yourself in the genuine beauty and tranquility.

It was such a fantastic place! I absolutely enjoyed the opportunity to climb up the lighthouse and admire the breathtaking view of the ocean from up high. The gentleman who granted us permission was incredibly kind and welcoming!
