Located just a stone's throw away from downtown Zona Romantica, this beach is a great spot to soak up some sun and enjoy the clear, pristine waters. The sand is silky soft and the water is crystal clear, making it a delightful place to swim. The waves can vary in size depending on the day and time, but they are always fun to ride. However, be wary of jellyfish as they can sometimes be found in the water.
The beach is moderately busy, with families and groups of people enjoying the sun and surf. Several hotels are situated along the beach, and there is one beachfront restaurant, though we didn't try the food due to unfavorable reviews. However, the drinks were decent.
If you need some shade, you can rent an umbrella from one of the small tents selling floaties near the restaurant. The price is reasonable, and the vendor is happy to carry the umbrella down the beach for you and set it up in your desired spot.
