I stayed at this hotel with a couple of friends.
The location is fantastic, with beautiful turquoise water surrounding the property.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom had a large bathtub. Unfortunately, our fridge didn't work properly, so we had to get a bucket of ice from the restaurant to keep our bottle of wine cold.
The friendliness of the staff varied - some were extremely nice, while others seemed disinterested. There was a slight language barrier since we didn't know French, which may have contributed to the communication issues. For English speakers, I recommend downloading the French language pack on Google Translate, as it was helpful for us.
The food was generally good, although we didn't enjoy the seafood trio starter plate. I had never tried raw seafood with goat cheese before, and I wouldn't recommend it. The Tahitian Salad lacked flavor as well. However, the coconut crab was excellent, and I suggest making a reservation and specifying the number of crabs you want to avoid missing out, as they tend to sell out. The prawn pasta and seafood in cream were tasty, and my friend enjoyed her lamb shank, which had a drizzle of chocolate. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel since it was buffet-style, but I would suggest having breakfast there if you need it, as there aren't many options on the rest of the island. Alternatively, you may be able to book breakfast at the local cafe next door called Snack Fassy, which offers a more local experience and isn't buffet-style. They are only open for lunch and dinner, unless you arrange something with them the day before. Coffee is also hard to find on the island, as there isn't much of a cafe culture, so we also had coffee at the hotel.
The drinks at the bar were priced similarly to other places in New Caledonia, so we had a few. However, I would recommend buying duty-free wine on your way in, as I don't recall seeing a liquor store on the island. The cocktails at the hotel were delicious, although I believe they cost around 1400XPF.
Additionally, you can book a shuttle tour of the island through the hotel or rent a car. Just keep in mind that there aren't many cars available, so it's best to book in advance.
If you're not planning on renting a car, I would also suggest booking an airport shuttle with the hotel ahead of time.
