I have explored countless beaches in Puerto Rico, from the serene Seven Seas in the East to the lively Luquillo and Monserrate beaches, among many others. However, this particular beach stands out as the best on the island. It is a remarkable location with two distinct beaches, one on the east and the other on the west, with a stunning tide pool nestled in the center. Essentially, you get three different bathing experiences in one location.
The eastern beach boasts an abundance of coral and is rougher, but it is definitely worth wading through to discover the sea life. On the other hand, the western beach is calmer and more picturesque, but it can get quite crowded. The tide pool, formed by the Atlantic waves crashing against the large coral formations, is the highlight of the beach. This was our favorite spot, as you could easily wade through the whole pool while standing in shallow water. Although there are a few sketchy spots, they are manageable. The beach is family-friendly, and there are restroom facilities, food and souvenir options, and ample parking.
If you happen to be on the north coast of the island, this beach is a must-visit. It offers a unique bathing experience and stunning views that are sure to leave a lasting impression.
