Exploring the famous waters of Thailand's Andaman coast will lead you to the unique beauty of Ko Kai, also known as Chicken Island, named after a rock formation that looks like a chicken's head and neck. This small island, part of the Poda group of islands, not only boasts a whimsical landmark but also provides a peaceful retreat into the natural splendor of the region. Ko Kai stands out in the sea, with its rugged silhouette serving as a guide for those seeking the stunning combination of sea, sky, and rock. The island's bird-like rock formation is a geological masterpiece, millions of years in the making, now a popular spot for capturing the area's rugged charm. The beaches on Ko Kai are pure tropical paradise, with clear waters lapping at the shores. Snorkeling here is like diving into an underwater wonderland, with colorful coral reefs bustling with a variety of marine life. The island's marine environment showcases the diverse biodiversity of the Andaman Sea, with fish darting through the water like precious gems. Aside from its famous rock formation, Ko Kai embodies the tranquility of Thailand's lesser-known islands. It's a place where you can soak up the sun on sandy shores that whisper stories of the sea's eternal movement, while gazing out at the endless waters stretching to the horizon. A visit to Ko Kai is more than just a tourist stop; it's a journey into the beauty of nature. As the day transitions into the golden hour, the setting sun bathes the Chicken's silhouette in a warm glow, turning the island into a picture-perfect scene straight out of a storybook. For those who set foot on its shores, Chicken Island remains a standout attraction, a piece of Thailand's coastal magnificence that leaves a lasting impression, resonating with the soulful touch of nature's hand.

This small island is known for its unique rock formation and features secluded beaches, great snorkeling opportunities, and a snack bar. However, during most island tours, visitors are only able to view the island from the boat and are not allowed to disembark.

Each of the four islands we visited in Krabi was incredibly beautiful. Chicken Island earned its name due to the hill near it resembling a chicken. While we didn't actually set foot on the island, we anchored our boat nearby for a swim. It was definitely another stunning spot on our trip. The island is called Chicken Island because it looks like the head of a chicken. You won't be able to set foot on the island, but you can admire its beauty from the boat. During our four-island tour, our boat stopped there for a while so we could snap some pictures. The sea was rough that day, causing the boat to sway and making it challenging to capture clear photos.
