10 Exceptional

This beach is a true hidden gem, perfect for those seeking a serene and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Patong. The tranquil atmosphere is complemented by a charming little cafe that offers a limited yet satisfying selection of food and refreshing cold drinks. It's the ideal spot to unwind and soak up the sun in a calm and secluded setting.

The beach is a serene and peaceful place, perfect for those seeking tranquility. However, if you are looking to support animal cruelty, then you may find it appealing to take a touristy photo with an elephant here. Unfortunately, we witnessed some distressing events today. The elephant is owned by Thai locals for commercial purposes and is used solely for the entertainment of riders. It is essential that we prioritize the safety and well-being of these majestic creatures and refrain from exploiting them for our own amusement. Instead of paying exorbitant fees to ride them, consider purchasing food or washing them in the ocean. It is disheartening that not everyone comprehends this.

Ah, the beach. I graced this little gem during the low season, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The entrance was a bit of a challenge to spot, but once I found it, I was able to drive all the way down to the beach and park under the shade of some trees. There's a quaint little Thai spot for grub and drinks, but don't go in expecting a Michelin-starred meal. The scenery is stunning, but beware - during low tide at midday, swimming is not an option. The water recedes far back, revealing a rocky bottom. But hey, who needs swimming when you can just bask in the beauty of it all?

This hidden gem of a beach is a favorite among the locals, offering a peaceful and secluded escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The small cafe on site serves up delicious food that is sure to satisfy any craving. While the rocky terrain may not be ideal for swimming, it provides the perfect opportunity for kids to explore the underwater world through snorkeling. With an abundance of colorful fish and stunning coral formations, this beach is a true natural wonder that is not to be missed.

4 Frustrating

This petite and private shoreline boasts a charming café and a handful of fishing vessels. Regrettably, the water is not crystal clear, and the beach itself could benefit from some upkeep. Additionally, jellyfish have been spotted on the shore, which may deter some from taking a dip. Despite these drawbacks, it's a shame this beach isn't better maintained as it has the potential to be a true gem. However, if you're interested in supporting animal welfare, it's best to avoid this location as it's known for promoting elephant exploitation for tourist photo opportunities.
