Every business has built very close to the water, which made the sand area poor and narrow. In some parts there is only enough space for 1 towel... This beach is very sad, its nature is ruined.

If you are looking for a more laidback beach on Samui, this is the place for you. We were here in March and the beach was very clean. Bangrak has more of a local vibe and there are many good restaurants, cafés and bars. Some beach clubs like Tembo or Chi Samui provide a party feeling, but the beach is otherwise very quiet and definitely offers a good mix for everyone, including families.
