The seafront has been recently renovated and as a foreigner, I had no trouble entering as the police checkpoint didn't ask any questions. Although it's not exactly a beach, it's still a pleasant spot for a leisurely stroll or a brisk run along the golden sand.

For those seeking an idyllic spot for a picnic, I highly recommend Dongtan Beach in Sattahip. The beach boasts pristine white sands and is adorned with lush pine trees that dot the coastline. The sunset view from this locale is simply breathtaking. Do note, however, that the beach closes at 6pm, so plan your visit accordingly.

This tranquil beach situated within the Navy base is a haven for relaxation, although it is important to note that non-residents are restricted from entering for security reasons. The base offers basic amenities such as shops, seafood stalls, and shower facilities, with massage beds available for use daily. It is an ideal destination for families seeking a weekend getaway. However, transportation options from the train station are limited, with tuk-tuks charging exorbitant fees of 500 THB for a 12km journey. The beach boasts crystal-clear waters and soft white sand, but unfortunately, it is marred by the presence of plastic debris. The Navy should place more garbage cans and conduct regular clean-ups to maintain the pristine condition of this beautiful beach.
