Mira Montra Beach

We were really excited about our well-deserved family vacation at this resort, but unfortunately, we had to unexpectedly go back to Bangkok to take care of a sick relative. We had hoped that they would understand our situation and show some compassion by refunding a portion of the 400 euros we had paid. However, that didn't happen. Instead, they were incredibly rude and inflexible, offering us only a credit note which we explained we couldn't utilize. We have traveled extensively, but we have never encountered such appalling service. If you are thinking about staying at Mira Montra, I strongly recommend considering other options.

The hotel is excellent, and the beach offers a stunning view. The rooms are of good quality, and the staff is extremely kind. The breakfast options are somewhat limited, but manageable. Overall, it is worth the price and a perfect place to spend a leisurely holiday. The swimming pool is spacious with a pleasant view, and the food is always fresh. The room service is also exceptional. In summary, everything is satisfactory for me.

During our visit in the off-peak season, we discovered that the only beverage options available were bottled Chang or Leo, and there were no options for shorts or cocktails. However, the staff provided exceptional service, giving it a perfect score of 100%. This beach is a perfect escape to unwind and create joyful memories with your significant other.

The beach has a great location and the room is nice. The staff members are friendly, but some of them, who are just standing around and greeting guests, could benefit from more training. With a little bit of training, they would be able to assist the three main receptionists, which would make everything faster. One of the receptionists, named 'May', is genuinely friendly and helpful. In the afternoon, they provide a tea/coffee break, which is quite charming. However, I find it a bit odd that they offer a lot of complimentary snacks. Overall, it was a good experience, but there is room for improvement.

The beach right in front of the resort is stunning. However, if you venture just a few meters in any other direction (which applies to most accommodations on the island), you will find garbage scattered everywhere. This includes rubbish that has been left there for years, such as plastic bags and bottles. It is disheartening that no one takes any action, and it is quite depressing that environmentalists have not made an effort to address the waste management issue in Thailand. What's even more disheartening is that wealthy individuals construct these resorts but seemingly show no concern for the ocean that they depend on. I have no intention of coming back.
