This beach is a hidden treasure, offering stunning views of Salcombe. It's dog-friendly, but it's important to arrive before 10 am due to limited parking and a narrow single lane. The beach provides good restroom facilities, and there's a delightful coffee and crepe caravan to satisfy your hunger.

The beach boasts stunning sandy shores, tranquil and inviting warm waters, and countless possibilities for constructing dams. Additionally, it offers a delightful stroll up the valley towards Gara Rock, as well as a scenic coastal walk that showcases some of the most breathtaking views of the U.K. coastline on a sunny day. It truly is a picture-perfect paradise.

The beach was absolutely stunning, with crystal clear water and velvety soft sand. However, it seemed quite crowded during my visit. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed taking a delightful stroll along the coastline.

Mill Bay is a truly unique location that can be reached either by ferry from Salcombe or by road, with a convenient car park nearby. It is advisable to arrive early, as parking can sometimes present a challenge. Additionally, we have observed numerous individuals arriving with their own water sports gear. The beach is incredibly family-friendly, and the adjacent stream is sure to keep children entertained for a considerable amount of time.

During our recent holiday in Devon, we decided to visit this beach despite it being over an hour's drive away from where we were staying. However, it was definitely worth the journey. The sea here is absolutely beautiful and the beach itself is clean and covered in golden sand. It was so stunning that it almost felt like we had magically transported ourselves to a foreign country. If you're in the area, I highly recommend spending a few hours here, or even venturing a little further away. To make the most of your visit, I suggest parking in Salcombe and taking the foot ferry across. Although there is national trust parking available just a few steps from the beach, it tends to fill up quickly and can only be accessed through a series of narrow and winding single track roads.
