Absolutely breathtaking! This place is a must-visit. The restaurants were outstanding, and the local fish and chip takeaway, including the fried Mars Bar, was equally impressive.

A truly scenic harbour situated just beyond the town centre of Stonehaven. The area is impeccably clean, offering stunning views and plenty to discover. Be sure to visit some of the bars around the Harbour, grab a bite to eat, and take in the refreshing sea air. Don't miss the opportunity to stroll back along the seafront—the boat sculptures make the walk worthwhile.

We absolutely love visiting Stonehaven and its picturesque harbour. We typically park at the harbour, where parking is limited but free, so it's best to arrive early, especially on sunny days. If you walk around the harbour, there's a path that leads up to Dunnotar Castle, offering a fantastic view of the harbour from the top. Back at the harbour, you can enjoy a well-deserved coffee or beer at one of the pubs, though we usually opt for the coffee shop. There's also an intriguing museum at the harbour. The harbour itself features a lovely sandy beach, which is popular with families with young children. It's definitely one of my favourite spots in Scotland.

We had a pleasant time during our brief visit. It's not a large venue, but it was enjoyable. However, it didn't quite live up to the advertising. On the bright side, the free parking was a definite bonus.

This charming little area is bustling with both locals and visitors, including day trippers like us. There are numerous delightful restaurants and cafes to choose from, and the harbour is full of activity. The museum here is excellent and offers free entry. Additionally, it's just over a 2-mile walk to the Dunnottar War Memorial and Castle from this spot.
